Am I mad not to get a tiled bathroom?

It seems that most people prefer tiles on the walls and floor, but I find them cold and hard to keep clean. Am thinking of shower panels and waterproof paint on the walls, and vinyl on the floor as it's softer and easy to clean.

Not planning on moving for at least 10 years (so not too worried about selling on just yet / resale value) but I'm wondering if I'm missing something, as everyone I speak to about this (including bathroom fitters), looks at me like I'm crazy. Am I?

We redid our bathroom floor and put down Quickstep Hydro Ultra and I much prefer it to the old tiles which had horrible grout and were quite slippery.

We had tiles in the old house and I felt like I was always cleaning them. When we moved here there were PVC panels in the main bathroom. My first thought was 'thats going'. After living with it a while I came to realise I was wiping it over, not scrubbing grout and it was much easier to keep clean. They can stay and to be honest I wouldn't go for tiles myself now but I'm not getting any younger and frankly anything that makes life easier works for me.
