Limestone floor tiles in kitchen - a good idea?

I need to make a final decision on the flooring for our new our new kitchen this week. I had originally decided on pale cream / beige, large format limestone tiles, however some comments on the ‘white kitchen flooring’ thread have made me reconsider! The problem is that I can’t find an alternative that seems to be any better.

Does anyone have any ideas about what else might work instead, or indeed if you have had a good experience with limestone?

A couple of things to note - it needs to be underfloor heating compatible, we have a dog, and I don’t want anything dark in colour.

I have a beige limestone on my fireplace hearth, its nice and natural looking but has a lot of upkeep with making sure the seal is intact so soot/ dirt arent embedded in it.

I went for a natural stone look porceline tile for my kitchen, which has the nice uneven edges i wanted that my natural stone fireplace has without any of the upkeep (also is ridged so less slippy underfoot).

I have “limestone” ceramic tiling and no one notices it’s not real stone. My friends with limestone spend a fortune cleaning it, sealing it and getting yuk out of the wide grout lines. Honestly - avoid like the plague!

I much prefer Porcelanosa large format tiles.

I do have limestone in my holiday house and I cry when I see it. Just gets stained! Cannot keep it clean.

These are my ceramic limestone. If I was doing the floor again, I would have large format all over!
