Soundproofing

I was just wondering if anyone had any idea what price i should be expecting to pay for soundproofing a standard size bedroom in a semi detached home? I am struggling with extremely noisy neighbours! I have spoken to a specialist who does seem like he would do an amazing job but he's quoted £8k for one room! Obviously that is a lot of money and didn't really want to pay this amount. Any advice would be very welcome.

I paid over 10K for mine. It made a small bit of difference but not much as it was mostly bass I was trying to get rid of. I regret doing it.

Thank you for getting back to me, I'm sorry it didn't work for you, what a lot of money!

A couple of weeks ago, one youtube channel I follow showed how they soundproofed their wall with their next door neighbour.

It includes details of different ways of soundproofing as well.

Costs for materials (according to the video) are going to be around £30 per sq metre.

OK, I don't know what happened with that link. Here it is again:-

Sorry, to keep posting. I'm trying to multi-task very unsuccessfully. I should have said that the price for materials is more like £60 per sq metre

Thank you @nickymanchester I have had a brief look but will watch fully later! I was led to believe for soundproofing to work properly part of the floor and ceiling connected to the party wall would need to be done as well but I am now not sure 🙈
