Kitchen (green) style advice

Hi all,
I'm getting a kitchen made, currently settled on Little Greene's 'Pleat' after a lot of swings and roundabouts. We'll have a simple light grey matte large-size square tile on the floor.

Just looking for second opinions on (a) the colour (I like bright colour but don't want it to look like a kid's room!), and (b) choices for hardware, sink and worktop (we'll be going laminate). I'm currently leaning towards a fairly simple white worktop, with minimal marbling, and matt black hardware / sink. I had thought brass but now feel maybe with such a strong colour I'm better off going for something simpler.

All ideas welcome!

One thing I would say is that colour varies hugely depending on the light. A paint that looks quite subtle in a N facing room will look much brighter and more colourful in a S facing room. IME you also see the colour more in eggshell/satinwood than in emulsion (because of the sheen), and over a large area than in the small sample

So for all these reasons I would err on the side of “possibly too subtle” rather than “possibly too colourful” in your paint choice. Having said that I like your choice!

I would also never, ever have a black sink, or matt black hardware. But then we live in a hard water area so water marks/limescale are an issue.

With that colour paint, antique or brushed brass hardware would look amazing. I’d probably go with brass hardware, brass tap and stainless steel undermount sink.

Thanks for that! We are also hard water I hadn't realised itd be a problem?

Because the counter is laminate we cant get an undermount sink and I felt the composite inset was more modern and stylish. They do have a grey option also.

Thanks for the advice on colour. It's a north facing room and the kitchen is away from the window. I've seen a small block in the room and it was lovely but as you say possibly different at scale. That said I am just terrified of it being too garish! My other choice is green smoke and I think I'll have a look at that again.
