Porcelain patio & grout

We are having a new patio layed and are currently trying to find sort it out.
Grout is a sticking point! I keep getting told different things. We bought the brush in grout recommended by the company we bought the porcelain tiles from.
Our builder (who recommended the tile company) is now saying that it’s not the right thing as water can get under the tiles and lift them!
I don’t know who to believe or what to do.
Advice greatly appreciated

We had a patio laid last year and we had "wet" grout

No idea but following with interest. We are having a new porcelain patio laid in July we haven’t purchased anything yet but the man laying the patio has produced us a list in conjunction with the builders merchants where we will purchase the tiles from.

What colour porcelain tiles have you gone for and edging if you are having some.

Sounds lovely. I wanted white (which isn’t a proper bright white but DH thought it might look too dirty as we have a dog. We have provisionally gone for black like a slate colour but I am not totally sure.
