Please could I use someone’s which login for 5 mins?!

I know it’s a big cheeky ask
But they no longer offer a free trial and I just need for five mins to read the reviews for TVs before I take the plunge.

I would log on, have five mins and then exit and Confirm that i am out so you could change password? Although i promise i wouldn’t use again even if you didn’t!

Alternatively could someone perhaps send me what I’m looking for?

So sorry to ask

What TV are you looking for

Reinventinganna · 10/05/2021 12:33

?

mumwon · 10/05/2021 12:36

libraries have free access - to online magazines don't they? or check forums & read the negative comments

Isawthathaggis · 10/05/2021 12:39

Take some money out your tv budget and buy a copy?
How much were you planning to spend on a tv?

FixTheBone · 10/05/2021 12:42

Plenty of free resources that do more in depth reviews than which.

Hdtvtest being one that springs first to mind.

idontlikealdi · 10/05/2021 12:43

You could try google.

Egghead81 · 10/05/2021 13:09

So it’s a smart tv
I have never purchased a tv before
I know that sounds silly but divorcee and my ex purchased everything tech without any ref to me.
Anyway, it’s 10 years old and on last legs

So I’m looking for a smart WiFi tv (is this the same thing?)
I’d like it wall mounted
It can’t be big. I was thinking 32 inches

Nothing fancy.

look at John Lewis. All the ones there are good models that will work.

Mykittensmittens · 10/05/2021 13:15

Go on AO.com as the reviews for goods are prolific.

AO also offer an installation and set up service which may help if you’d like that reassurance (but it won’t be tricky)

Good Housekeeping have loads of reviews and do independent testing.

Pieceofpurplesky · 10/05/2021 13:59

I have this one. It's brilliant

Doesn't show price but it's £379

billyt · 10/05/2021 14:08

Richer Sounds are my preference. 6 year warranty, great service and lots of choice.

billyt · 10/05/2021 14:11

Their 32" smart TVs start at £209 for a Toshiba....

MightNeedABiggerGlass · 10/05/2021 14:22

Make sure it shows the catch up channels like iplayer etc

I got a new tv earlier this year and some reviews said the tv's didn't have this ability.

My advice read the reviews. I'm just trying to find the one I bought but the email is eluding me!

You need to think about:

  • Size
  • Budget
  • Which streaming services do you use? (Not all apps are available on all TV operating systems, and it changes for model years! - e.g. a friend's 2020 LG has no DisneyPlus app).
  • Are you apple or Android household? If the former you will probably want Apple Airplay, if the latter then Chromecast built-in is handy.

Do get 4k resolution and High Dynamic Range for future compatibility (HDR10 and HLG are a must. Dolby Vision and HDR10+ are nice to have).

John Lewis have a 5 year warranty, Richer Sounds a 6 year warranty included in the price.

I doubt you are looking at OLED so any decent LCD TV that matches your needs in the list above will probably be fine.

SAMSUNG UE43AU7100KXXU 43" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR LED TV with Bixby, Alexa & Google Assistant

This is the one but we got it cheaper from our independent electrical shop, fab tv but registering it with Samsung took some perseverance - good luck

Why so rigid about the screen size?
