Outside porch area

Hi all. I would like to fix the wall in the porch area outside the front door. I'm not sure the best way to do this. I've attached photos so it's easier to understand what I'm talking about.

There is damage to one wall at the bottom that has resulted in a hole appearing in the wall. Underneath is brick. I'm not too sure if it's best to try and patch the hole with filler, or to strip it all back to brick and start again? Has anyone done this before or got any advice for me? I'd appreciate it.

That looks like damp to me. You might need a specialist.
It doesn't look very well plastered in the first place. You need to find out the cause before you repair it.

Knock off loose and patch it back up the skirting look rotten as well . it you doe patch it up leave a gap from tiles to make a break to stop damp travelling up
At a rough guess looking at the tiles and it being outside it looks like a victorian build and won't have damp course so it will keep happening.

You could just keep re patching it or get it damp proofed but is it worth the cost for an outside wall you'll just need to keep on top of it

(10ish) years ago , the house had a damp issue caused by guttering that was blocked and had been chucking water down that side of the house for a few years. This is what I have been told by my neighbours who have lived here 30+ years. It's not damp now, just damaged and hasn't been fixed since I bought the house.
