Paperwork for previous extensions (Buyer)

The property we're purchasing has had two extensions done, one in the 90s by the people who lived there earlier, and one by the sellers themselves around 10 years ago.

Please could I get some advise on what paperwork we need from the seller?
We want to be sure that what was built matches planning permission application, that it was built right (the later extension almost definitely removed a load bearing wall), and that there are completion certificates (?) building reg certificates (?) - totally unfamiliar with the document names, sorry.
Our solicitors should take care of this hopefully but I want to keep on top of it as well.

Our survey is coming up - we're doing a homebuyer's report. Would the surveyor be involved in this aspect at all - inspecting the build etc or asking for docs?

Thank you!

In our homebuyers report it stated where we should obtain certificates e.g. evidence of structural work done here, recommend obtaining certificates. Our solicitor did it all and I would be very surprised if yours weren't on the ball about this! You'll need building regs sign off certification/completion certificates for the work, although be prepared for them not to have the paperwork for the work done in the 90s..

There probably eint ne anything from the 90s obe unless your seller got it when they purchased.
Your solicitor will get all the relevant documents. The completion cert is the building regs one - they inspect it not planning.
You can look up the plans through your council's planning portal.
