To replace your boiler including Labour? I’m being quoted £2,700.

OP posts:
BlueCherryBlossom · 04/05/2021 19:14

£2300

pumpkinpie01 · 04/05/2021 19:19

£2250 that included a new radiator in the lounge too

Coolandclamy · 04/05/2021 19:59

Wow. Is that in London? That’s considerably cheaper than what I’m being quoted.

May I also ask about the make of the boiler?

OP posts:
TheCrowening · 04/05/2021 20:07

£2900 today, but that includes a five year full parts and labour guarantee including pipework for the first 12 months

TheCrowening · 04/05/2021 20:07

Mine was a Worcester Bosch

Checkingout811 · 04/05/2021 20:09

£2800. Yorkshire. Worcester Bosch with warranty.

Coolandclamy · 04/05/2021 20:14

It’s a Worcester Bosch 35kwh that we were quoted for. Sounds like the price isn’t unreasonable.

chocolatesaltyballs22 · 04/05/2021 20:15

About £2500 for a Worcester Bosch nearly 4 years ago. We're in the North of England.

Tulipmonster · 04/05/2021 20:16

We paid £2800 last year for a new Vaillant and installation. We’re in London.

SlidesAndLadders · 04/05/2021 20:17

£2750 south east not London

Coolandclamy · 04/05/2021 20:22

What is the power of your boilers? 35kwh to handle 4 bedroom house?

Our boiler completely packed up and I want to ensure in my desperation I’m not being ripped off.

I’m so happy for the info being shared. I’m feeling less stressed about it.

Not sure but it's fairly powerful in a 4 bed house with large extension.
Changingwiththetimes · 04/05/2021 21:43

Your quote sounds reasonable.

CasperGutman · 04/05/2021 21:57

If the boiler is a combi, bear in mind the power of the boiler is determined more by the hot water requirements (basically the number of taps/showers you want to run simultaneously) than by the size of the space for the central heating.

Linnet · 05/05/2021 10:16

We paid £3800, that was for a new combo boiler, removal of the old gas fire and back boiler, removal of water tank, flush through of the radiators and bricking up the hole in the chimney wall where the old back boiler had been.

emmathedilemma · 05/05/2021 11:24

I'm sure mine was over £4k a few years ago but that included removing the old water tanks and scaffolding hire to install the vents which costs a small fortune.

idontlikealdi · 05/05/2021 11:28

£1.7k - 35kw Ideal - we are in a 3 bed terrace but recently did the loft extension so had to have the power to get up there to the new radiators.

7 year warranty. Was on 'mates rates' though, we are SE and it should have been around 2.5 I think.

Bells3032 · 05/05/2021 11:29

£2400

FrankGrillosFloof · 05/05/2021 11:32

£3k in London for a Worcester.

Allthereindeersaregirls · 05/05/2021 11:58

£6600 but that is for relocation, upgrade to all our pipes and installing a 300litre pressurised hot water tank. it's would be much cheaper if we were replacing the combi boiler we currently have with another combi in the same place.

cabbageking · 05/05/2021 12:14

£2900 for new boiler and pipework and removal of immersion heater

We got back £220 by recycling the tank and old pipework ourself.

Easterbhunny · 05/05/2021 12:15

£3750 for a 40kwh including relocating it to the loft. That’s Midlands.

DespairingHomeowner · 05/05/2021 13:31

About 2.5K for a replacement combi - its a Valiant (Ecosave or something) which has a 7 yr guarantee. This is also transferable if you sell your house

This was for a 2 bed flat so maybe you'd need something a bit bigger OR not a combi in a 4 bed house

claireb7rg · 05/05/2021 13:34

We paid £2350 2 years ago for a 35kw ideal boiler, price included removal of old boiler and hot water tank, new pipe work needed for conversion to combi boiler.

We have a 4 bed with 2 showers house

Raindancer411 · 05/05/2021 13:38

£4000 lol With BG. Think we were done and they was 5 years ago. It is a larger house so needed to run 12-14 rads.
