Taking a Keter shed with you when you move.

Has anyone done this?
Or has anyone taken a plastic shed down and put it back up again?

They’re quite expensive and ideally I don’t want to have to buy another one.

Not sure how much faff it will be and whether the plastic is sturdy enough to transport and rebuild.

It’s a Keter apex 8x6 if that helps.
Thanks

If you've already sold you need to check that it's not mentioned in the particulars or listed on the TA6 as staying before you remove it. Could you offer to sell it to the buyers and buy a new one?

Having just bought and assembled a Keter storage box (the plastic rattan sort, only 1.5 m x 0.7m), I wouldn't fancy my chances at getting it apart and re-assembling it!

@QueenStromba I didn’t include it in the TA6. I’m trying to make the selling as streamlined as possible. I would have liked to sell it on and buy a new one as it would be a simpler solution. But I was worried it would slow down the process and we are trying to beat stamp duty unfortunately. It wasn’t listed on the property particulars either.

I am worrying it won’t go back together. It’s a bit bowed too. @Walkacrossthesand

We left ours, it was just too much hassle on top of all the other stuff.

We've a small store-type one, with a lift-up lid and 2 doors.
We asked the removal guys about it (it was fairly new) and they added on the back of the removals lorry, then carried it above their heads Shock around the side of the house to the back garden.
So it is possible. Smile

On the basis that we have bought 2nd hand ones before, which they took apart, I moved and rebuilt, it was absolutely fine.

If you are worried you could sell the old one on gumtree, get whoever buys it to dismantle and remove, and use the money towards a new one.

Too much hassle to move IMHO, if the panels crack when dismantling or get damaged in to move it will be a total waste of time. I could imagine this may occur as plastic can become brittle.

If you haven’t included it in the sale, perhaps ask your buyer if they would like to purchase, or just leave it there.

In our home before last, our sellers said they were leaving the shed, mentioned in property particulars and on the form signed to say it as included etc, still took it!

It was absolutely rubbish and probably fell to bits when they dismantled it. But if wasn’t worth losing the house we really wanted at the time over a very rotten wooden shed.
