I think we can safely say that it's totally unlike any other bungalow 😂

Outbutnotoutout · 26/04/2021 11:36

Wow 👀😳

GiantKitten · 26/04/2021 11:38

Oh it’s the thing on the roof?
Interesting...Confused

RICS definition of a bungalow:

Bungalow
Originates from India and Bengal. Described simply as a low house having one storey.

Ward v Paterson [1929] 2 Ch 396 defines a bungalow is a building of which the walls, with the exception of any gables, are no higher than the ground floor, and of which the roof starts at a point substantially not higher than the top of the wall of the ground floor, and it does not matter in what way the space in the roof of a building so constructed is used (per Romer J.,

Chalet bungalow used to describe bungalows with upper rooms set in the roof usually with dormer windows.

itsgettingwierd · 26/04/2021 11:40

Well it's an unusual bungalow being on top of 4 flats 🤣🤣

Other than playing fast and lose with the description (surely it's classed as a penthouse?) - it's actually really nice with amazing views and lovely sized rooms.

drinkingwineoutofamug · 26/04/2021 11:41

Not a bungalow that a penthouse thingy

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 26/04/2021 11:48

So that must mean I live in a ground floor penthouse?

0blio · 26/04/2021 11:50

I lived in a bungalow with an upper floor, definitions are different in Scotland. And domestic properties there are often referred to as houses whether they are flats, maisonettes, bungalows, villas etc.

Yeah, but there’s a bit of a difference between a bungalow with an upper floor and one which is actually high-rise! Definitions in Scotland aren’t that different!

Technically it's on one floor but a bit higher up than usual Grin
Anyway, it's really nice and the views are lovely.

Albless · 26/04/2021 12:35

It definitely wouldn’t suit anyone looking for a bungalow because they don’t have a head for heights!

The views are just amazing! I love it.

Wow. Very loose on the definition, but that is amazing. I love it.

umbel · 26/04/2021 12:58

At least you wouldn’t have to worry about people climbing in through your bedroom window!

shinynewapple21 · 26/04/2021 13:07

Wow that's amazing. I wouldn't want to get too close to the edge as don't like heights , but. It's not exactly a tower block . Spacious.
gorgeous views and a garden!

MelissaVonStressel · 26/04/2021 13:13

I have never seen a 'penthouse bungalow' before. You'd think from a marketing point of view penthouse would be the thing to emphasise?
