Best towel rail for hanging several towels

As part of our extension work we are relocating our downstairs (currently main family bathroom) bathroom. We will be putting in a towel rail (sole heating source as no space for wet UFH in old section of house).

I have found the majority of towel rails just lend themselves to one towel being thrown over the top (even if you fold the towels they are often too close to the wall to place other towels without faffing too much).

Until our en suite is redone (probably a year or two) there will be two adults and two smalls using this bathroom.

Anyone got a towel rail that is great for hanging a few towels, or an alternative wall mounted/floor standing towel rail that looks good in a modern bathroom? I am not sure I have ever been in a house or hotel that has enough towel hanging space (that properly allows the towels to dry).

Depends on how much room you have...... we are fortunate enough to have a fair bit of space in our bathroom and have always used an ordinary clothes airer - It means you can spread them out, not pile them on top of one another.
I do realise not all bathrooms will have that space.

Otherwise, just have a hand towel in the bathroom and take your own towels into the bathroom when you go for a shower or bath, thereby being able to use radiators in bedrooms as well.

We have a radiator like this in our en-suite www.aqva.co.uk/Bathrooms/117657
We got ours from Mr Central heating.

look for towel racks, which several rails so that you can put a stack of towels on top, and usually at least two more rails underneath.

you need one with a sort of bracket to fix to the wall, to have screws separated by height. Otherwise it will pull off easily due to leverage.

p.s.

if you are lucky enough to have a hot-water cylinder nearby, you can have a towel rail plumbed in that will heat during and after every bath.

Thanks all.

@BackforGood since we are ripping the house apart I'd like to try to desigh in something that avoids hanging towels on radiators.

@Qc16 that looks good... couple of proper hanging rails... I saw something similar but on a very modern style vertical radiator in a show room which I'm considering.

@PigletJohn that's a great idea. We are putting in a brand new megaflo unvented cylinder directly behind the bathroom so that would be a great solution for summer when the rest of the heating is off.

@PigletJohn also just searched heated towel rails which was clearly the term I was missing. Look so much for useful than the common ladder style. Thank you.

We got this one, the 1190 high one.

We can put two big towels and a smaller towel on the bars and then we hang the kids towels on the ends.
