Nearly £1.5M for one bathroom and a lifetime of constipation

This should be beautiful but, aside from being on the gloomy side, all I can think of is the number of spiders, especially those waiting to drop on me from the bathroom ceiling: www.themodernhouse.com/sales-list/st-thomass-church/

Wow the Old Operating theatre I thought it was, they’ve a museum there as well, but too gloomy inside, but the history incredible.

Mylittlesandwich · 20/04/2021 14:13

I love it but would probably have a heart attack by the time I got to the bathroom. I'd have to have another one put in if I bought it (in this scenario I've also won the lottery).

QueenStromba · 20/04/2021 15:18

Hideous. Anyone who suffers from desperately needing a wee as soon as they put the key in the lock is going to regularly piss themselves.

DoubleTweenQueen · 20/04/2021 16:06

@QueenStromba You'd just stock up on Tena lady pants (well I would Blush)

ImInStealthMode · 20/04/2021 16:29

Wait, isn't that the old operating theatre building?!? ConfusedConfusedConfused

KFleming · 20/04/2021 16:38

For too much brick for me. And quite grubby looking brick as well.

MelissaVonStressel · 20/04/2021 16:43

The church one needed plastering - the dust - and also, less photos of the outside. Not much point in something looking great from the outside and awful inside.

Woeismethischristmas · 20/04/2021 16:48

I quite like it, I’d agree with a pp that it’ll get bought by a banker who has a cleaner in to do the brickwork.

Idontlikethatnameanymore · 20/04/2021 16:58

@DoubleTweenQueen

Powis Mews - thought it was quite cute until I clocked the asking price Shock
Me too, do you think it comes with all their nik-naks? Not sure my tatty colleaction of Ikea, Ebay and 1990s M&S furniture would make the grade...
DoubleTweenQueen · 20/04/2021 17:43

@Idontlikethatnameanymore They can leave the pot plants :)

DoubleTweenQueen · 20/04/2021 17:44

Perhaps that should be potted plants

TinyGlassOwl · 20/04/2021 18:03

Be handy for my office on the other side of the road Grin

Londonmummy66 · 20/04/2021 18:18

It would be hideously noisy squeezed in as it is between the A3 and the railway lines. You'd also be pretty well on a level with the bell tower at Southwark Cathedral to help your insomnia along....

chesirecat99 · 20/04/2021 18:33

Well, if it's too gloomy for you, how about this one, OP?

I love it but the acoustics would be dreadful.

Camdenish · 20/04/2021 18:41

Surely you’d just wee in the lift? Isn’t that what they’re for?

megletthesecond · 20/04/2021 19:04

The old church one has a bedroom like a prison.

3CCC · 20/04/2021 19:07

If it's where I think it is

Glad to see they've finally finished. There were building works there for yonks. Next to the old operating theatre museum

Larach · 20/04/2021 19:09

I saw that one cheshirecat and the next time I have nearly £3M it's definitely going on my list. Grin

StarsonaString · 20/04/2021 19:22

I want that kitchen @chesirecat99 !

Alonelonelylonersbadidea · 20/04/2021 19:36

I want it. The first one. The second is far too bright . I may request a viewing. Just because

BlowDryRat · 20/04/2021 19:37

It looks like a prison. I bet people in the Shard can see through the skylight to watch you showering too.

JaninaDuszejko · 20/04/2021 19:55

The stairs in this one are mad. And a house this size in my town is 10 times cheaper. Actually I saw a house being marketed by The Modern House in my town, it was gorgeous but was on the market for ages because it was too expensive for the location.

Candleabra · 20/04/2021 20:00

I absolutely love it!

DoubleTweenQueen · 20/04/2021 20:30

@chesirecat99 Does that say what I think it does?
