Downstairs loo with washing machine

We are creating a downstairs loo as part of our kitchen living room extension and this will also be where the washing machine will be
Any ideas how to do this ? Small room loo - sink and 2 cupboards one which will have washer/dryer in and one for laundry basket / detergent etc

Not sure if the configuration of your house allows this, but my brother had a wash mc "in" the (usually) dead space of the kitchen corner cupboard but the front of thd mc was accessible from the down stairs toilet.

@dizzycatdance2 it doesn’t allow that I’m afraid. The for stairs loo is at the end of the hall. The kitchen has a separate entrance. Sadly bet. Unable to upload the plan. My main issue is how to get the cupboards and a loo in a room that’s prob 1.5 x2m but def no space in kitchen config for washing machine

You'll need to stack the cupboards I think

Can the cupboard for the detergent etc be under the sink?

Tanfastic · 11/04/2021 23:35

We have a laundry room with toilet in as well. We don't have cupboards. We've put washing machine and tumble drier side by side with a worktop over the top where we have a laundry basket and detergent etc. We have a toilet and very small sink adjacent. We are looking into buying a toilet with a sink above to save even more space.

Works well for us.

Yes I had this. Having the washing machine intergrated meant it didn't look like a laundry. I had wall cupboards too for the detergent and stuff. Units matched the kitchen. Very neat set up.

Thanks - dot I go with a hand style basin so suitable for handwashjng after the loo or a more productive bigger sink useful for other things !

Productive bigger sink if you have room definitely. Great for washing paint brushes, bins, shoes etc

I agree with one sink for all purposes.

A useful, bigger sink. Here in Australia, it was fashionable for a number of years to have the toilet off the laundry which means guests wash their hands in the sink. A nice soap and towel and it works fine.
