Moving house and Electorial Register

Hi.
Heres a thing thats puzzling me. Im moving house and due to exchange soon. Like most Im relying on a mortgage and in a chain mid way. As the validity of my mortgage offer is reliant on me being on the Electorial Register, should I wait until after completion before I inform the Electorial people? Seems to me that doing that between exchange and completion might causes issues with the mortgage offer.
Advice is welcome.

I don't ever remember formally telling them. I just filled in the card next time it plopped on the doormat! So wait, as your legal address is your current home.

If you want to update them yes you would wait. Why would you tell them before hand?

You inform them only after you have actually moved.

You register where you live, irrespective of whether you have other addresses. If you genuinely live between two addresses, you can register at both but can vote only at one.

Somyes, you might miss the local, elections at your new destination if you move at an awkward time for the cut off. But you don't register a future address.

You don't change your address until you've moved. You're making a problem where there isn't one, don't worry about the electoral register.

Thanks all. Yes I did think that was the case but wasn't 100% sure
