This is not a question but just taking out frustration with our lawyer who has been working on our house purchase since past 5 months. Today when we were signing Contract, Land registry and Mortgage deed we noticed that he wrote wrong title number in land registry and mortgage deed. We are so glad that we found this out before exchanging and corrected it before sending it to the the solicitors ! The frustration is next level because of me being 25 weeks pregnant. My husband is also so frustrated with this lawyer that he really want to give up on the property now ! I am now looking into all the documents he has sent us reading each and evey word 2-3 times ! Has anyone had such a frustrating experience with their conveyancer ??

Humans make mistakes. Seems a little OTT to pull out of your purchase because of a typo in a document. You may be able to manually correct it or the solicitor may send you an amended version.

Either way no big deal really. Buying a house is very stressful. Buying a house in a pandemic is even more stressful and being pregnant as well will up the ante. No need to panic though I think checking it all through is a good idea - for most people buying a house if the biggest investment they ever make so you are right to be thorough.

Good luck.

It is just a typo. Get a grip. It can be amended by hand and initialled. Job done.

Sounds like the typo was the last straw, rather than the first (and rather a big) mistake.
I had a solicitor who, though I had used her several times before, seemed to get it all wrong with one sale/purchase. I put it down to either her having a marriage breakdown/menopause/or some other thing going on. She was absolutely fine for the other transactions, but I found i had to double check everything that one time.
Once you find a good solicitor you use them again and again. Mind you a bit annoyed at mine (different to above, but used several times) now as she went on holiday without telling me, and it was only the last of three emails I sent her that came back with the 'I'm on annual leave until...'.
