MDF Bath panel.

Picture attached. So I have recently gotten bath panels made from mdf. Today I have put on 2 coats of sealant..
My plan was to put undercoat on tomorrow and paint on Monday.
Is this OK to do?
Secondly I was wondering should I be sealing around the bottom of the panels at the floor and if so with what? I thinking of getting mouldings for the panels. Can they be put round the bottom?
Thanks for any advice Flowers

You need to be able to remove the panels incase you need to get to the waste etc so it is better not to seal them to the floor. Also MDF is notoriously problematic for bath panels as it swells so quickly with any moisture. Is there a reason you went for MDF rather than something like marine ply which is a lot more stable.

No I'm pretty clueless to be honest. MDF is what the carpenter told me to get.
I should have done a bit more research so.

MDF is cheap and easy to work with but you will need to be really careful to not get it wet. If you did put sealant along the bottom that would help stop water getting in but as I said it will be a problem whenever you need to remove the bath panel. I would get a really good bath mat and make sure you don't leave any water or drips on the floor near the panel after you have finished in the bath. Is it standard MDF or moisture resistant MDF?

It's standard MDF.
You live and learn. I'll know next time what to do.

Any idea what I can do where the small sheet and long sheet meet? The corner. It's rough looking.
