Ground floor uneven

Currently renting, it’s a Victorian that’s been split into 2 flags - we are ground floor. I noticed the living room floor was uneven to a point if you rolled a marble across it, it would be like it was riding a wave 😆 our dinner table is only small but when you sit at it on one side, you can see and feel your guests are higher than you 😂 I’m absolutely not a pro on this but what I think is that the foundations are sinking/becoming weak in some areas or something of the like - definitely a big job, can’t be good where your floor isn’t even. There’s some cracks up the wall by some doorframes where I assume the floor is dropping.

Anyways, told landlord of course as if it was my property I’d want to know. I’m not worried about the place falling to pieces imminently but obviously best it’s looked at properly.

Anyways landlords favoured HANDYMAN came over to look at it and I kid you not, the solution from him was to POLYFILLA the cracks 😭😂

So yeah we’re currently crackless (great) but the floor level is a madness. It’s liveable but I just feel bad for whenever they decide to sell the place it will probably cost a bomb to fix as it would have been left so long and not investigated properly. Anyone else ever experienced wonky floors and it wasn’t a big issue in the long run? 👀

All houses move and settle, and given the age of the property it's not really that surprising. It's not that unusual to have uneven floors, I have a couple here but it's one of those things you live with.

The house is sturdy and well positioned, so no not something i personally worry too much about as it's just normal settling.

Has it got worse during your time there? As you tent ots nit really your problem- you've told the landlord. But keep an eye on it - if it gets worse definitely tell the landlord again.
