Are you allowed to rent out your shed?

I don't mean to live in Grin

I mean as a yoga studio/meditation studio

Halls where I am are £35 an hour to rent - I was thinking about putting a sprung floor in my 30 foot shed and renting it out per hour at £10 (there's a separate outdoor loo from Victorian times I could jzugh up)

It fronts a main road so could do signage ..

You'd have to get public liability insurance and probably pay business rates too so you may end up out of pocket if you're not charging enough!

I think you'd need planning permission for change of use.

I've got the insurance already (I use it for my office - and I see clients there)

I didn't need to change the use for my own practice (or pay rates as it's in the grounds of my house)

You do need to pay business rates if customers visit your home. See here: www.gov.uk/introduction-to-business-rates/working-at-home

If it's just a home office then it's fine.
