Draining dishes in modern kitchen

It's kitchen design time 🎉

The pictures of super modern kitchens all have under mount sinks with uselsss grooves cut into the worktop in lieu of a draining board. We have a dishwasher but we also cook a lot and not everything can go in the dishwasher.

Where do people drain their dishes without it looking awful and untidy?? What has worked for the hive mind of MN with your beautiful kitchens?

I also do the tea towel thing on the odd occasion I have a lot of big pans to wash at the same time - I'll usually throw a couple in the dishwasher for 10 mins while the program is running and then whisk them out, quick rinse and set to dry while the dishwasher carries on with two new big pots.

I am pretty certain I got mine from Argos (our sink is in a corner unit and the draining board is some useless triangular shaped thing. It isn't this one but a similar set up

Tbh it was just got when we first moved in and just needed something. I lust after the Joseph Joseph ones though.

We also have this one - which is definitely function over style but is more useful for the dc's school water bottles.

With those ones that go into an Ikea wall cupboard, how do you empty them without tipping drip water all over yourself?

Double sink, both under-mounted with centre tap. One used as dirty wash sink, other used as clean drainer/dry sink. No grooves on bench as just extra places to clean. To be fair though there is very little that doesn't go in the dishwasher.
