Let's talk conservatories

I am looking at buying a house which has a big conservatory, I've never been bothered about a conservatory as all the people all know that have one rarely use it.

Do you have one, is it useable in summer and winter, would you rather not have one etc.

Thoughts please.

Old: shorthand for cheap! Single glass not double glazed. Plastic roof. Poor thermal properties. Poor heating. Under floor is all over heat. Tiny radiators are useless. Cheap construction is a waste of time. Plastic conservatories have limitations. They are not usable. Conservatories cost as much as standard build extensions. Few old cheap ones will be usable all year. Old ones tend to be poor construction with no foundations.
