Extractor fan with a hose? I need Piglet John...

We have some windows being fitted and our kitchen one currently has the fan fitted in the glass. It's in a tight corner where the cooker is, and there isn't any wall space where we could fit one going to the outside world.

The new windows won't have the option to have the fan in the glass.
However, the window frame is quite deep (about 30cm and tiled) so one could fit on the wall there - but can you get one with a little hose that can hang out of the window?

Hope that makes sense! We have a hood fan but the kitchen gets very steams when I cook so we do need the extra fan power.

Looks like you could use a hose to vent your extractor hood to the outside near the window?

I moved into a flat with a recirculating fan and had to run dehumidifiers all through last winter. Had new kitchen fitted with hood vented to outside and it's a total game changer

The wall is the bathroom - so there is no access to outside apart from the window there. The bathroom has a fan (opposite wall) and that goes via an air stack/vent (?) in the bathroom that runs up to the room.

It’s a post was block.

Yes the cupboard has an external wall on two sides (back and to the right side as you are looking face on) it’s where the washing machine/boiler lives so is quite deep.

"the cupboard has an external wall on two sides"

you could vent an extractor through that.

You can have the actual fan on the front or side of the cabinet, with a duct to go through the wall.

A kitchen fan that is not above the hob (like a cooker hood) needs to be more powerful, so probably a 150mm (six-inch) hole.
