Hi
We are planning to relocate to Reading . Both me and husband will travel to London post Corona and our daughter is likely to start at Kendrick this september . We do not know much about the Reading area as such, so looking for help on where to buy . We saw www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/87769249?utm_campaign=property-details&utm_content=buying&utm_medium=sharing&utm_source=copytoclipboard but not sure of the area . Saw there are a few student lets etc nearby. It is difficult to get a feel of the area now as there is not much traffic/students right now
Or is it better to look at Earley/Caversham areas

We gave up on Lancaster Close , mostly because of too many student let's nearby. After searching for months we have given offer for a house in Caversham Park close to Micklands. The market is so heated up , houses are selling like hotcakes. Would have waited a bit more if we didn't have to move by September. We are in the wrong side of town for Kendrick but access to the countryside seemed easier this end.

Dee and Casper thank you for updating, your commentary has been hugely helpful. Presently she's over 100 miles away and by using that tool on Rightmove that lets you draw specific areas, she's managed to take your nuggets of info and weave them into her search. She's only renting but wants to be north of Crown Street and south of Gosbrook Rd, Lower Caversham.

Why don’t you rent in Caversham for a year to let the heat come off the market (bubble burst) and then you can work out exactly what works for you all.
