Two small bedrooms for DD

Our DD10 has a bedroom which measures 9 x 9 which I know isn’t tiny but just fits a single bed, wardrobe, small chest of drawers and a small dressing table. We do have a spare room which measures 10 x 8 and have given her this room for a desk and toy storage/bookcases. At the moment this works fine and I realise she’s lucky to have two rooms. Unfortunately these rooms are at the front and back of the house so can’t be knocked into one. I’m wondering how to split them going forwards and especially into the teen years. Do you think it would be annoying to have her clothes in a room other than her bedroom? I was thinking of just having wardrobes, drawers and maybe a chair in one and then the other to sleep/study. The bedroom could maybe fit a small double for when she wanted friends staying over but then there wouldn’t be room for much else other than a desk and drawers. We’re looking at redecorating it soon as it hasn’t been done since she was a baby and she needs a bigger wardrobe so I’m trying to think ahead so we don’t end up doing it all twice! Thanks for your thoughts.

Ask her.
I say thta because my girls have veyr different ideas about how to use their space than me.
I make suggetsions, and suggest things that we might think about (eg for dd2 we have a clear separation between her sleep space and chill/work space, due to anxiety and sleep issues) but they like to have it their own way.
I also think as a teen, she may prefer to use just the larger room and not two

They’re both pretty much the same size, one is square, the other is a foot longer but a foot narrower.

I think that’s nice, actually- she can have a desk etc in one room and not have to do homework where she sleeps.

One could be the dressing room, clothes, dressing table, armchair or two and furry rug.

The other one could be the bedroom with bed and desk (hidden in a special cupboard) and shelves for books.

But best to ask her.

I would do bed and clothes in one, and desk, chair / chair bed / bean bags /music / books / computer / in due course TV, in the other.

When we moved house Ds who was then 15 asked if he could have two smaller bedrooms instead of one larger one. He has a single bed with wardrobe and chest of drawers in one room then in the other he has a desk, computer, music keyboard and other music paraphernalia. We are putting him shelves up for his books (music).

He loves it.

Thanks for your responses and ideas. Her older brother has a very large bedroom which doesn’t help, and he uses all his space. I feel bad that she’s in a small one but I know this is normally the way it works.

We are looking to convert our loft space, we have a fairly decent space to work with and could have a huge master suite up there, but instead we're planning two rooms and a shower room, currently one will be a guest room and the other a study, in time as DS gets older one will be his bedroom and the other a study/chill out space, I think the separation of use can work well.
