New window in thick stone wall

Morning, the work continues in the house. Next project consideration is a new window in a box room that currently only has a borrowed light window.

The 2 big problems we have is firstly the house is made of stone which is approximately 2ft thick and secondly the most suitable wall to put this window in is curved.

What kind of tradesperson would be best to contact about this?

If anyone has had a new window put in a thick stone wall - how much did it cost? Are we talking hundreds or thousands?

My general builders did that for me.

But I chose builders that I had seen work from all round our village on similar types of property. So I knew they could handle 2ft thick stone walls with a rubble infill, pantiled rooves with no underlining etc.

Choose your builder and they can turn their hands to most things or have contacts with the appropriate trades. Mine got a joiner to hand build a matching interior Victorian style door and a wooden Yorkshire Sash window.

Thank you for the advice @scarby9 I think we've found a couple of recommended builders who are also stonemasons so hopefully they'll be able to help!
