Liquidated window supplier - guarantee void?

I am pretty sure I know the answer is going to be we're out of luck... but if a windows company was wound up in 2016 does that mean any warranties are worthless?

One of our double glazed windows is blown and would normally be under warranty. No point contacting the liquidators, right?

Sorry, yes. I think so. We have this problem with a house we are selling as the solicitors want the FENSA certificates, and they are worthless.

Ugh. We're about to put ours on the market hence getting it fixed. I wonder if you can get repairs certificated.

It would never cross my mind as a buyer to ask for that 🙄

It's worth checking the details, some warranties are insurance backed so could still be valid.

Pretty standard as part of a house purchase for the legal team to ask for any valid warranties.
