What type of builder would remove concrete floor and change to wooden floor

We've just bought a house where the lower ground floor has a concrete floor. Not sure when it was installed but there is clearly damp in the internal walls. We would like to get it removed and install insulated wooden floors. Neither of us can physically do it. I know it's silly manual job, but not sure what type of builder to contact, I would rather it to be done at once. I would prefer also using proper tradespeople (not a handy person) because obviously this was badly done.

Any idea what type of builders would do the 3 parts: destroy the concrete, lay damp proof layers, and suspended timber floor?

Thanks!

Any general builder can do this. Are you talking about one room or the whole of the groundfloor? or what is 'lower gound floor'?
You probably need someone to investigate the damp issue. Could be coming from outside and be nothing to do with the floor.

It would be cheaper to lay under floor heating and flooring, but yes speak to a general builder. The damp needs proper investigation but could just be due to the room not being used much and not sufficiently heated.

I’d put money on the damp being caused by the floor. You get damp when the house can’t breath. I’d have thought any competent builder could do it.

Great thanks! I'll contact a general builder and will get the house surveyed anyway for the damp. There may be several issues anyway (like under heating, that's quite possible!) but we wanted to change the concrete anyway. We want to make sure though this is time it's properly insulated and breathable. We didn't do the first one, but it obviously wasn't done well.
