Draughty French windows; what do I need?

I am sure we used to have some sort of floppy plastic strip which fitted into the groove between the 2 doors in our French windows.
And kept falling out.
And now appears to have vanished, and the wind is whistling through....

I am not sure what it is called to be able to replace it? Any help welcomed, thanks!Smile

I think this may be called a gasket. Are your doors upvc? If so a local fitter or supplier should be able to fit a replacement for you.

Thank you for the reply. Am not sure I know whether the doors are Upvc or not; how do you tell?!

Upvc is very different from wood, it looks and feels plastic.
You can buy insulation strip on rolls of various thickness to stop draughts. We’ve got a couple of old upvc windows with gaps that we’ve put the strips in and they’ve stayed put and sealed the gaps.

Thank you, I think the doors are wooden. Does this mean that the strip wouldn’t be suitable?
