New Windows

Heart v head dilemma!!

We have to replace some french doors that were incorrectly installed by the cowboy builder who owned our property before us. Its urgent as it leaks.

Now...none of the windows in the house match, some are old some are new but not great quality and already have broken latches etc. The plan, once we have saved enough is to replace all. We have already used all our saving correcting other issues in the house so its slow going.

After getting quotes in for the first room/ensuite we now need to make the decision on whether or not we change the colour as well. Its a whopping 30% more to do this. We can afford this room but when moving to the next the size will mean increased cost and the 30% might not be so pallettable so our decision now will affect future spending.

Options are: 1 - keep white and save.
2 - change colour to what we love but take longer to change all windows. 3 - change colour on front of house only to improve curb appeal but keep the back white to save money ( this might mean a colour mismatch in future as 10 - 15 yr plan to extend includes dark bifolds)

Head says save what you can. Heart says go with what you want, if it takes longer it will still be worth it. We still have lots of other bits to do so money is always needed but this is the forever house so....

Help!

If you ask the supplier of the ones you love if there's an interest free option ? Sometimes if you do more windows - ie all the front or all the back ones at one time there might be a deal to be had. ( as long as you have the income to support it, but you did mention you have the ability to save , so I assume so. )
