Lytham St Annes, what's it like?

I'm looking at moving to the NW, and want to be near the seaside.
Lytham St Annes (or St Annes ) is noticeably cheaper than Lytham.
Is Lytham worth the premium? What's the difference?
My target area currently is somewhere between the two town centers.
Also noticed Southport is cheaper again.
Any info and all comments welcome!

We live in wrea green on the outskirts of Lytham and love it here, so peaceful and so close to shops/sea front etc.

Thank you for your rapid reply! I’ll get him to have a visit today. For us we are looking to relocate back to 🇬🇧 after 20 years out of the country. Hubby is area hunting. He just can’t get over the amount of traffic!

Yep it's busy, they just put a new link road in from m55 direct to bae warton which links Lytham too. As I've said before certain places in the area hold there house prices really well even when the market dips, so don't be surprised if we have a property market crash for some areas not too see big drops in house prices. Favourite areas for me are Lytham, Lytham quays, Wrea Green, all depends on how much house you want for your money.

We've been on this estate for nearly 12 months and love, one house left in the process of being built.
