Victorian house, masonry paint - which white?

Hi there,
We’re just having the front of our Victorian house redecorated following pebbledash removal, and hoping to get some advice regarding colour. The paint will just be on the masonry, around windows etc. The first two photos are to give an idea of the sort of classic white I am hoping to achieve, the last pic is of part of the front of the house - it is a London Victorian semi detached house, with 2 thick bay windows at the front and quoins (corner stones) on the side, I’ve been told it is a ‘classic Victorian villa’(?!). The brick has come up very yellow and it's been pointed with lime. To achieve this sort of look, should I go for brilliant white or an alternative such as F&B Wimbourne white or Dulux Jasmine white? Help!
And thank you so much for any consideration given to this matter! 🙂

It’s going to look beautiful! Not sure on paint recommendations. But can I ask was it expensive to have the pebbledash removed?

Have you got a Dulux Heritage paint chart? They have lots of different shades of white that compare to colours above. It’s impossible to pick the wrong white!

I'd say no to brilliant white. Definitely something a little softer.

Thank you all! I will have a look at Dulux Heritage. Also looking at F&B 'All white', any idea if that would look like any of those above?! I will frantically start buying paint samples this morning Smile

Re costs - january 29 I am happy to share them if you PM me. In the end the price didn't work out that much more than just painting and decorating (as a few repairs were needed anyway due to having done other work), so it was a no brainer. It does look lovely and I would recommend it!

Gorgeous. You might have success asking any neighbours whose paint job you admire what they used. But I dont think it is very hard to go wrong with white when you have that lovely brick contrast.

In my experience All White is a very true white white. I think you're looking for something that's not quite as bright as that from the pictures. I'd say try Strong White or Pointing.

Thank you! That’s really helpful. I like ‘Pointing’, will get a sample.

Hi again,
I think we've decided to go brilliant white!
Just making final decisions about painting the soffit and fascia. In the above (3rd) picture, would the soffit/fascia look best painted black or dark grey (possibly downpipe grey) with black upvc gutters? It's being repaired and repainted (not replaced) and I'm worried white would look unforgiving/need redoing again more quickly.
Thank you all and have a wonderful day! Smile
