Reasonable price for DIY?

Been quoted for some DIY work I desperately need as working all hours as an NHS worker.

2 freestanding clothes rails
A small kids wardrobe from IKEA
2 bedside tables
1 cabinet with 6 drawers
A shoe rack with 4 levels.

All items are ARGOS/Habitat apart from the IKEA.

How much would you expect to pay for assembly of these? In the South East.

It’s all relatively small and ikea stuff goes together well. The big wardrobes with mirror doors are heavy. If someone offered me 50 quid to do that I’d snap both hands off 😀👍

We got Taskrabbit to do all the nursery furniture for around £100 and it was money well spent.

DIY is not in my skillset.

Our handy man charges £130 per day.

We give him a list of jobs and he works through them. He does flat pack furniture and he’d get through your list in a day. Might finish early but we’d pay him the day rate obv.

Our plasterer has an apprentice, he costs 60 per day. Just as a thought, teenagers can build ikea furniture, just get someone local who wants odd jobs to come do it. Why pay a tradesman full day rate for something you or I could do?
