Rendered house

Hi, I am at the final stages of buying a
3 bed detached house that is completely rendered (I think that is the correct term, as in is completely white). I drove to it today and noticed it has slightly darker patches all over the house. It looks like it is wet patches, maybe from the rain. Is this somehow I should be concerned about? How would I know if it was damp and a problem with the house or just how it looks?
Stupidly we didn't do a home buyers survey, just a standard survey that the mortgage company do.

A mortgage company survey isn't a survey into the condition really, you'd need a proper survey. The Home Buyers is the most basic, it might not cover render condition. Are you very confident at understanding buildings, enough to risk not having a structural survey?

You might be able to get a render company to just look at the render?

The house we are buying is fully rendered. Buildings survey came back saying it’s in extremely poor condition and ripe for a complete re-render. We just got quotes in and to re-do the full house is going to cost between 15-20k for a 4 bed semi London outskirts.
