Anyone enclosed a porch?

Our new house has an open porch - inside is a brick cupboard and there is a roof (which has been recently replaced) and the other side of the roof is held up with a metal pole.

We don’t want anything fancy - does anyone have a rough idea how much it would be to put in a side panel and a front door/small panel to the front to enclose the porch so we can use of for coats/shoes etc?

It would depend on the size and how you’d like it enclosed, i.e. brick, uPVC panels, etc...

Will you need to lift the level of the floor ?
I’m watching with interest as this is what I want to do, but I will need to lift the floor so it’s an added cost.

We would go for the cheapest option so nothing posh. Floor wouldn’t need to be raised as far as I know as already has a concrete base it would literally be a side panel the width of a door, upvc would be fine and then the front would be a door and a very slim panel. Roof is good and brickwork for the cupboard etc is fine too.
See the photo - literally just enclosing the open bit. Doesn’t need to be particularly insulated etc. Just a lockable door so we can store a coat stand etc and an extra layer between outside and the inner hallway.

This is what a neighbour has done, so no proper building work etc

You’re probably looking at no more than £2k. Best bet is to speak to window/door companies and obtain comparable quotes.

@DinosaurDiana
Can I ask, why the need to lift the floor?

On the basis that the door and two glass panels were what we had on a house, it was I think about £1600. Ask some double glazing salesmen for a quote.

Because it slopes away from the house, so it needs a flat base with damp proof underneath - I believe.
