Sliders or bifolds?

Extension happening this summer was initially thinking bifolds, but now I'm thinking sliders - 3 panels that slide to open 2/3 of the space. The space is 5 meters wide.

Whichever option I go for I definitely want the ones with blinds built in between the glass panes.

I've had a quote for about £8k for bifolds with blinds, and £13k for sliders with blinds.
It's expensive and believe me I'm not rich! But I figure if I'm having it done then it's going to be there a long time so get what I want.

What are peoples thoughts, sliders or bifolds? And is the quote I've had expensive or reasonable?

About £700 for all 3 & easy to fit. They have a rechargeable battery built in that needs a charge once or twice a year. The remote can be set to individuals or grouped. Really pleased with them.

@Simonutti72 they sound perfect, sorry for another question but where were they from?

We’ve got a 6m wide sliders and love the open sight lines . Struggled to find suitable roller blinds so went with verticals - which I was really against originally but they work really well.

www.poweredblinds.co.uk/ They send free samples of blind fabric. They do bifold blinds but for sliders you just choose regular rollers. They are very helpful with advice re measuring etc.

Another vote for bifolds.

But whatever you have, one bit of good advice a friend gave me was to sink the frame at the bottom so it's flush with your flooring, without a lip. The bottom of her frame is 5 cm above the level of her floor so there's a lot of tripping over it as people walk out to the garden.

We have bifolds 4 m only 3 pains of glass. We wanted the top room of 1 door thar opened abs we have the capacity to open them fully and tuck away the glass if that makes sense. We have ours open all the time in the summer. We are south facing it is boiling even in the spring. Having them open is a godsend with the kids in and out. If I was going bigger 6m+ I would have sliders.

My concern with blinds is the dust and having to clean them... how have you found them?

They are rollers in a top cassette so no cleaning required!
