anyone with stacked washing machine and tumble dryer?

I would like to redesign our utility room, and want to increase storage space (for outdoor gear and sports kits and wellies etc) and floor space (to be able to iron in there).

An option is to stack the existing Miele WM and Bosch TD. However, I use the TD almost daily, and am also only 5 foot 1, and I'm wondering whether these mean that it would be a poor choice.

All feedback appreciated!

We have aeg washing machine and dryer stacked, using the aeg stacker which has a pull out shelf.

I don’t think reaching will be an issue. I’m 5’4 and store the laundry powder ontop of the dryer and can reach fine, so I can’t imagine you won’t be able to reach inside the machine as that’s far lower.

Can you put any dryer on top of any washer? Directly? Or must you have a shelf / worktop in between? My dryer walks a bit when spinning. How do you keep it in place do it doesn't walk off the washing machine? Where do you get a stacking kit a few people have mentioned?

@trevorandsimon - just bought mine off Amazon. It’s easier I think if both machines are the same brand as then you can confirm compatibility easily. But you can buy generic ones that should work or direct from company of appliance
