Patio area-rope fencing

Im fortunate enough to have a large garden. So big i don’t know what to do with it. Its covered in slate waste and i have a slate slab patio. And we park the cars there. Round the patio id like to define it as a seating area as its just open at the moment.

As I don’t have a large budget -well zero but can raise funds -i would like to do something simple yet effective like rope fencing. Easy and about a meter hight.

Like the photo. Has anyone done something similar? For an idea of costings. I will require 7 fence posts and approx 15-18 meters of rope, and im hoping to get a friend to help for cash in hand.

The posts in the photo are to ask people not to walk through the rope fence?
Whereas I think you want a visual barrier? I would assume some planting? Something you want... I’d like a blueberry bush in a pot, then a gap, then a tall strawberry planter -here one I’d like would be £40.. depends how big a space you want to demarcate and how tall you want the screen to be?

No planting. No soil in the ground. The rope fencing is what i need there is no definition. My place is 35 meters long and 10 meters wide and its just bland.

The last picture, the patio is a different colour to the grass beyond. There is a wall too, so the areas are separated by colour and vertically.
I don’t think the rope will achieve the separation you want. And I can’t help with that! The posts will be easy to push into some ground, but it might be a harder job for your friend if they have to deal with a concrete base.

My idea was pots- blueberries like special soil, so wouldn’t grow in my garden.
These are grey, three for £20, includes the special soil and the plants. www.yougarden.com/item-p-310054/the-complete-blueberry-growing-kit?&source=PPCYGSGOOG&utm_source=PPCYGSGOOG&utm_medium=cpc&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIufHE_J617gIVi5ntCh3HNAQ5EAQYBCABEgKg3fD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Anyway, hopefully someone else will know!!

Definitely rope fencing will do what i beed. Its difficult to explain but i wont post a photo of the area as its sooo outing😂

I could also use pots down on the corners of the posts.

Its not a concrete base. Just hard earth and layers of slate waste. We will use quick set concrete as we have done with the frame of the log store.
