Have you replaced windows with built in shutters?

Help!
We need to replace the windows in our house. The lounge and master bedroom have shutters that were only fitted 4 years ago. Can we save the shutters or will they be able to be saved.

They were fitted by Hilary's. I've tried contacting them to see if their fitters also do window fitting and could help but their customer service team were less than helpful.

If you have managed to save your shutters, do you have any advice? Or are you a window fitter and you can advise?

I would think you can remove them and then fit windows and replace them. I know that would be possible with mine.

I'm not sure with this type of shutter images.app.goo.gl/eR1dJCDKyyZWcL2L

Does anyone have any experience? There's no visible screws to easily detach them. They are integrated units.

I believe they can be removed and refitted as it's a question I asked when we had our shutters fitted last year.

That's a relief.

Hilary's said they couldn't.

I hope I can find a decent window fitter.

Make an appointment as if you’re a new customer and ask the fitter who comes to give you the quote. Most are self-employed and really knowledgeable and so may show you how to remove and put back on, and also the type of windows that would work best

That's a really good idea. Do the fitters do the quotes for Hilarys?
