Do I need a Quooker boiling water tap

We are having a kitchen renewed and would like a boiling water tap. Quooker seems to be the go to brand but wandering if anyone has a cheaper version that they are happy with?

Don't be daft @MrsJamin! It's not literally that people can't do without them!

We had a Quooker installed when we had our kitchen/extension done, about 18 months ago. It's great - although we're not tea drinkers, so can't comment on how good the tea is. I love not having to have the kettle on the work surface. And using it in combination with an induction hob means that I can get cooking veg etc really quickly.

No filter changes or any maintenance has been needed yet. (Fingers crossed!)

We went for a Fohen boiling water tap as much cheaper at about £500 and had the shape and finishes I wanted. Really impressed with it, just have to change the filter once every six months. Has been great with lockdown for tea and coffee, but also just cuts time off cooking when I’m a hurry, and is great for cleaning things quickly. Of all the things for our kitchen renovation, it’s one of our favourites, but I wasn’t paying the £1300 our kitchen company quoted

I've had the insinkerator one for eight years, got a 1/3 sink in corner od kitchen, I absolutely love it, in fact it's just started leaking so bought another. Yes it's not quite boiling never had a problem with that, although not a massive tea drinker. Live in a hard water area and never replaced the filter, like thee small tap as on proportion with my small sink. Have a timer plug on it so comes in morning and evening.

We had an insinkerator in our old house and I miss it daily. You can set the temperature yourself - 90 was hot enough for me (and meant you could drink almost straight away). The box sat in the cupboard under the sink, taking up about 1/3 of one shelf. I didn't realise how much we tried on it until we moved last year. We'll be buying another one when we get our kitchen done next.
