Moving house

Hello. I am due to collect keys to my house tomorrow (sorry if this is the wrong thread)

But I seem to have completely forgotten my priorities list. It is a 2 bedroom house. Everything needs done. Redecorating, flooring, everything.

I have a 1 year old DC and 2 pets. What do i make a priority? Apart from plumbing the washing machine, cooker etc. I have all my furniture from my current flat all except a cooker. (I will buy from currys).

How do I make it as smoothly a home move as possible given current covid situation. I have wallpaper for my sons bedroom. I have never painted or wallpapered before so I don’t even know what type of paint i could use on skirtingboards/walls etc. I don’t know what I’m asking, I think I’m just asking the best ways to pack, priority rooms, etc. I am literally clueless!

I always feel like a working kitchen and a useable bathroom are really important when moving, and then at least one room that you can sleep in until you’ve set up the other rooms properly.
Were you hoping for a decorator?

If it’s not a pattern matching wallpaper, it will be easier to try yourself. First time I did a bit of wallpapering i watched a few videos on YouTube.

Couple days and nights worth of stuff packed separately along with the kettle, toaster and microwave. Maybe cook something tonight so you know you have dinner ready tomorrow after a quick ping in microwave.

If decorating isn’t absolutely essential right away I’d settle in first. Figure out your room layout then go for it.
