Can you recommend a drill for a small woman?

I need to buy a drill, ideally something with decent power but designed for someone with small hands and pathetically weak wrists. I need to be able to operate it one handed (while holding what I’m drilling with the other hand) but isn’t a toy. I’d prefer if it’s not pink but I can put up with that if I can find something that actually works.

And I’d really appreciate any other recommendation on tools and power tools designed for smaller women. I’m really tired of having to ask dh to do stuff that I could do better because the tools are unwieldy.

@thelegohooverer

I certainly will.

And in case it’s useful to anyone else, I’ve found that a Japanese saw is significantly easier for me to handle safely because it cuts on the pull stroke instead of on the push stroke.

Great tip thank you!

You'll love the dewalt drill too. Small and powerful so easy to use. Weak girly power tools are actually much more dangerous and much harder.

I put up some coat hooks yesterday drilling plus screwing and held the board they are on with one hand and drilled with the other. And i am not noted for upper body strength.

Sadly my post pointing to exact drills was deleted so I hope you got brushless. It appears Aquarius can dish it out but not take it. Good old MN don't like the menz to be upset.

If you can live with the irritation of having a cable attached I imagine a corded drill would be lighter than cordless as the battery is heavy.

I thought about getting a cabled one as I thought it might be more powerful., but it's a lot of hassle when you're trying to drill properly. Plus these dewalts are a perfect size - shorter than most drills and being able to fit it where I need it is a massive bonus. It's really not very heavy at all. In no way too heavy for anything. I'll be looking at other dewalt items if I need anything more.
