How much can I expect to pay to have a completely new bathroom: bath & overhead shower, loo, washbasin, tiles and flooring.

£5k with decent products and good workmanship. Fairly plain. Fancy tiles, radiator and cabinets increase price. It's difficult to be certain. If you are planning to move items e g. Toilet, the costs will rise

I did this.

Depends on finish. I went high end but not top top end.

£8k

So so worth it.

Mine was 6ft by 8ft.

PeggyMoo · 27/12/2020 17:43

£5k min I think

Melonlover80 · 27/12/2020 17:44

I’d say £5k outside of London

I used a local builder. He had a cult like following, and with good reason. I had to wait 6months for his availability. I got two other quotes and he was in the middle

And £5k quite a bit out of London.

But again - depends on what you want. £5k reasonable is thinking lower mid range doe example

We had ours done last year London borders cost about £6.2k for mid range things, could have cut that a bit with no heated towel rail, cheaper things but £5k min would say.

Question for those who did it: where did you start? Where did you get your first quotes from?
Is it a plumber? A bathroom designer?
I have no idea of how these things work, all I know is my bathroom needs redesign!
I'm comfortable designing it myself but I wonder if an architect is needed for that.

(Sorry OP to use your thread, hope you don't mind)

We went to 3 different bathroom places, got quotes and design ideas. Used plumbers who were doing neighbours bathroom. Bathroom was about 9£k but involved taking out a cylinder, nice fittings and repairing a previous bodge job on the walls.

The bathroom designers all did a good job.

I designed mine myself then got a plumber round to see what was viable and one option was ruled out. I then bought what I wanted and arranged a fitter.
