Bedroom paint inspiration x 4 rooms... f&b

Help, I am going mad.

We need to paint upstairs of new home from afar (don't ask) so my research is online.

I love neutral colours with a grey undertone.

I am thinking ammonite for hallway, and maybe a combination of peignoir, cromarty and.... light blue??

One colour for each room (4 beds)

Can that be done or is it better to use maybe 2 colours (eg 2 rooms the same x 2)

Please please give me your photos and inspire me/help me decide. I think I have RSI from using my phone so much to research

Peignoir - in spare room. I love it and would use it again. In my room it’s a kind of dirty pinkish. I would also go for Cornforth White or Pavilion Grey if you want something a bit stronger.

Light blue is a wonderful colour and if I didn’t have it in my living room I’d definitely have it an my bedroom.

What about accessories and fabrics? How interchangeable do you want them to be? Personally, I would shy away from four different colours because I would then be inclined to have two sets of bedding for each room to match the colour scheme of each and I have expensive tastes so it would be hard on the bank balance.

We've just painted 3 bedrooms, light blue, Cromarty and China clay (little greene. The hallway is slaked lime. They're beautiful colours.

Thank you all. I might go for light blue in my son's room. Is peignoir lighter when the sun is shining on it, as it looks quite dark there (I do like it a lot though)

I would do 2-3 colours between all the rooms, it just simplifies it a bit. With the way light falls in different rooms they won't look matchy matchy, especially with this type of paint.

I put a tester in the hallway and it looked quite pinky. In the room in the photo it’s darker but still quite light. Lighter than Light Blue.

Both really helpful comments, thank you!

I really love light blue

Have you joined the F&B Facebook group? It’s great for inspiration as people post photos of their rooms and ask for advice. I’m currently (slowly) decorating my house in F&B and it’s helped me no end.

I’ve used loads of Ammonite. It’s so pretty and soft and easy. I’ve never had colour regret and wanted to repaint after using it. I would use fewer colours rather than more as I think it’s more cohesive. Also cheaper.
