Hi,
we had a new shed installed in early December. The installers had been given a part for it which was too small, but they fitted it anyway and told me they would come back as soon as they could with the proper parts - the shed was watertight and the incorrect parts shouldn't really affect anything.
Within 2 days of the installation we realised that the door of the shed was sticking and couldn't be opened or closed. There are also many other issues with the shed being of poor quality, the least of which is we paid to have it painted, which cost about £600, and it's very badly and patchily done.
The shed company are going to come out in Jan to fix the issues, although I suspect it will depend on the coronavirus/tier situation at the time.
But the person on we spoke to on the phone said that if we weren't satisfied with what they did on that day they can take the shed down and refund us the money - which doesn't actually help anything. Especially as we've had our electrician in already to put the shed electrics back in. They also said that it was a problem from them to travel up from where they are to us, but we brought the shed through their agent who was local to us, so weren't aware of the distance - I'm not sure how they can make out that it is problematic/our fault.
I'm not quite sure what to say to them - I need to send an email before they open again in Jan with a full list of the faults and what needs fixing. They have loads of good customer reviews on google and facebook, so not sure whether we've just been really unlucky, but we can't even get in the shed and considering how much it cost us, it's just been done really poorly.
Thanks for any advice!
