Viewing houses with kids

Hi

How are people with kids viewing houses at the moment? We viewed a few while dh was wfm/holiday while kids were at school. He's now started. New job and can't take time off in the week - I have 8 year old twins and would rather not take them into peoples houses but also (we are tier 3) can't leave them with grandparents

In this situation, wwyd?

Thanks

Perhaps only one of you go? If you like it the other person can arrange a seperate viewing. A bit of a pain but without childcare and not wanting to take them i don't see any other options

Go in one at a time and the other parent stays with the DC, you just need to view faster and then meet outdoors with agent or whoever to discuss if required.

We had to view one at a time and either sit in the car outside or play in the garden with the DC.

It was actually quite useful seeing them on our own and most had video tours so you could "look" round them again at home together.

A couple of agents would have let them in but we didn't want the stress!

When we were viewing, we were told it would have to be no children and max 2 adults (tier 3). As pp, one of us stayed in car whilst other one looked around.
My ILs are in the same area we were looking, so we had that option (support bubble).

When we decided on the house we wanted, my 9 year old was sad at not having been allowed to take a look with us, but he quickly got over it Grin

Just glad they aren't young enough to tell one hone owner their house smelt and help themselves to crisps out of a drawer when your back was turned. DS, he's actually well behaved and polite 13 years later!

Go separately. If one of you likes it the other can go at a different time.

One at a time that's what me and my DH had to do.
We would take it in turns while the other sat in the car with DCs.
