No fines poured concrete rendered over brick base?

Looking at home report while I sort out home insurance and this is what it says about the main walls?

When we were looking for somewhere we'd seen a couple of those orlit houses advertised but they were cash only buyers.

I'm hoping there won't be an issue with getting insurance, I got my mortgage ok. But I'm not sure if I should put concrete or bricks as the material that makes up most of the walls construction? Thanks.

I think you should ask your insurers.

AFAIK no-fines does not have any particular susceptibility to fire, floor, burglary.

fire, flood, burglary.

obv.

Thanks Pigletjohn. I've just been looking at price comparison websites, I need the buildings insurance in place before completion.

Reading up about this it says no fines was for Wimpey homes from the 40s and 50s however my house was built in the 70s? So maybe it's a different type of no fines rather than Wimpey, is that possible?

This is the first time I've heard of things and I'm a little nervous now.

Don't know.

We don't have them round here.

When you say home report is this your lenders survey? You should get your own survey which ought to give you all the info you need.

I would ring round a few insurers and ask them to advise and do a quote over the phone.

(Also... Take down their name, the time & date you called just incase there's any issues and you can say I spoke to X atY time on Z day. I do that as standard now for any company I need to call, and text myself the details.)
