Pale grey kitchen units - likely to date or classic?

The extension is underway and I am thinking about my new shaker kitchen. I think I have chosen white as its less likely to become dated but I keep drooling over pale grey ones. Do you think pale grey units are already dated, likely to date or a timeless classic?
I only get a new kitchen every 15 years on average so I need to get this right Smile

Yes very happy - for boring reasons (my fault) we had to put a Howdens cabinet carcass in amongst the DIY ones. I can categorically say that DIY are better quality. The paint seems reasonable, no marks yet, and touch up paint is included.

Worth noting that DIY is the wholesale arm of a company called Ultima. It’s possible to buy ultima kitchens through some independent retailers, so your DIY kitchen is the same product and cheaper.

I have white and it’s a nightmare to keep clean. The dogs only have to wag their wet tails and it’s dirty, and the cats paw prints show up as the climb off units (that they’re not allowed on!). But I love it and it wipes off!

Have grey if you like it. If you’re not moving in the next few years it really doesn’t matter whether it’s in fashion. Fashion changes so quickly it’s not worth worrying about too much.

We're planning our kitchen and tending towards dark grey. Appreciate comments re grey potentially dating, we just feel that white is too plain for us so we're willing to take a risk. Our kitchen is extremely bright so not concerned re an overall dark effect.
