Respraying aluminium windows

Long intro: We are in the process of buying a house in a good location, with a good garden and nice outlook. The compromise is that the house itself, whilst solid leaves me rather cold aesthetically.
We will definitely make some changes if the purchase goes ahead, but I am worried about 1) spending so much that it will effectively trap us there if we want to avoid big losses and 2) the level of disruption this will take as we are fairly intolerant of such things.
Actual Q: The house has aluminium DARK BROWN windows. I like aluminium and there is nothing wrong with them but the dark brown depresses me to no end. Has anyone ever had their aluminium windows resprayed? Is it done in situ? Do they do both in and outside? Was it expensive? Were the results good? I'm guessing it would be considerably cheaper than new windows.
Thanks.

You may be better off brush painting as spraying will need so much masking to prevent overspray.

Thanks. We would not do the painting ourselves and, from what I read, brush painting aluminium would definitely show brush marks, which I'd rather avoid.

We had ours resprayed after they were scratched by the builders only days after they were fitted. There was indeed a lot of masking but the end result looks great, no difference from the original. No idea on cost though as the builder sorted it out as their damage.

Thanks @SongASing. That sounds promising. Do they spray both in and outside of frame? Did it take a long time?

The damage was only on the outside so nothing done inside. It was on a big set of bifold doors and they were in and out in a day.
