Which of these taps would you put with this sink?

Three options

Second one. Pull out spray is wonderful but number three is too industrial for your sink

Would you recommend? Wasn't sure if it was a bit of a gimmick!

I've had a pull out spray tap. It didn't last long so yes it is a gimmick. Option 1 probably the best out of those three.

laudemio · 24/11/2020 19:21

I have exactly that sink with the second tap, perfect and very handy for rinsing out

Wickerbaskets · 24/11/2020 19:22

Number one. I’ve found the pull out scoosher breaks and looks mucky painfully quickly!

YellowEllis · 24/11/2020 19:25

Mixed bag! Blush

I've got that exact sink with the third tap (£40 special buy from Aldi with a guarantee!)
I love it. Would have preferred one like your option 1 but the practicality of the one we chose far outweighs the appearance (and actually it looks nice)

laudemio · 24/11/2020 20:57

Those who say the pull out breaks - do you have caple taps because we do and it is superb quality and not broken.

You have the Aspen pull out? Does it have a button to power the hose or just the tap?

We have a pull out industrial one but have a stainless steel sink so it looks fitting. Just don't skimp on a tap, you get what you pay for.

dontmesswiththeGC · 24/11/2020 21:49

I got a pull out spray one from Aldi 2 years ago for £45. Still in perfect condition and I love it. So handy

YellowEllis · 24/11/2020 22:43

The Caple ones aren't the cheapest so I'm hoping they'll be ok. I just can't pick between the tap with the ceramic detailing which will match the sink well and then the practicality of the pull out. I do think I'm leaning towards a pull out!

I adore my spray out tap and don't think it's gimmicky at all. But I have a large butler sink, so for me the spray out is handy to minimise splashes.

SollaSollew · 25/11/2020 10:47

I really rate the pull out hoses. They come into their own when you're rinsing the dishes/sink and want to get into corners without soaking yourself.

laudemio · 26/11/2020 08:31

No button just the lever tap. They have a 5 year guarantee too.

BertyFlanter · 26/11/2020 08:38

We inherited tap 3 in our kitchen. It was a nightmare to clean. But I've had several pull out taps and I don't think they are a gimmick. You need enough room under the sink for the weight to pull it back in though. If it hits something it stays out.
