Has anyone sold their property on The Modern House?

... and if so, what were they like?
Their website looks amazing, with loads of good reviews, but I’d never heard of them until a friend mentioned it.
It’s clearly a ‘destination’ site with a very particular type of property, attracting a very discerning kind of customer, but I’m intrigued to know how most people would find out about properties on there, as they never pop up on Rightmove.

I’ve just taken my house off the market with ‘normal’ agents, and going to do it up with a view to putting in back on next year.
With a bit of work and ‘staging’ I think it would be the kind of house that could sell on there (albeit, at the cheaper end of their kind of house, £680-700k)

Has anyone used them, what did you think, and how much is their fee?

@Zinnia well that's interesting (can as ask which design agency) I can imagine that they might style for new builds they sometimes have, but genuinely think most of the homes are the individual owners style.
I know someone else who was selling with them, very interesting house in countryside with an architect designed extension, but I hate to say it their (male) taste really didn't sit well in the house and the furniture was just wrong. I know TMH advised to change the furniture in the new extension and it certainly made a difference, but you could see in the photos that they focused on the architecture rather than any quirky or stylish possessions because the owner just wasn't very stylish !
I still look at TMH all the time as I'm currently looking for a flat in London, but I doubt we would buy from them as we are doer upper designers so more likely to buy a bit of a wreck with potential.

@Itscoldouthere it was the people who organise the Midcentury Modern shows (Dulwich etc) - can't remember what they call their consultancy but it was on the website. I remember being a bit disappointed but not surprised they used stylists, the images are so curated. But as you say most of their estate agency clients will have already used an interior designer impeccable taste anyway in order to have their houses pass muster for TMH in the first place!

We tried to sell from them but not so impressed.

1.They charge very high commission 2% plus VAT.

2.They get freelancer to take photos to fit into their editorial styles. You don’t really have a lot say in it.

3.They don’t really know the local area well. (outside London )

4.and the agents don’t really get paid to travel to outside London (we actually felt very sorry for one guy walked over 40 mins). so you end up showing your houses yourself.

5.agents are not estate agents they are very inexperienced and don’t really know how to sell a house. So just end up passing communication around. Our sell fell through because buyers want a huge discount, and they just did nothing to renegotiate.

we probably would never use or recommend them again.

Lots of style over substance.

I love looking at the properties sold via TMH.

Worth looking into, but only worth signing with them if the service they offer the Seller stacks up well against other EAs.

DC viewed a South London flat with them when he was buying his first place a few years ago. He said the flat was very small but stylish, but they gave off the impression that they were very lucky to be even viewing, whereas the local agent was a lot more down to earth and really knew the market inside out. They do have some lovely properties though and I would consider using them to sell.
